About Meals On Heels

Angela Vallee, owner of Meals on Heels catering, was born and raised in Florida. She has always been driven to anything she sets her mind to. When her father died at the much too early age of 40 to lung cancer, Angela realized just how important it is to eat healthy in order to stay healthy for the sake of her family. She has two sisters, April and Amber, and she is the middle sister. Angela’s mom, Marie has worked harder than anyone to raise her family with integrity and faith. “There’s nothing more important in life than your health and happiness,” she always says.

After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from the University of South Florida, Angela dreamt of one day living up to her childhood dreams of working in the culinary industry. She moved to Orlando to work for Disney as a short-order cook. However, her family was struggling, so she had to take a job in the corporate world to make ends meet. Every day at lunch, her co-workers would drive to get fast food during the much too short, hour long lunch, or they would reheat dehydrated or frozen meals. To Angela’s surprise, a lot less people enjoyed cooking as much as she did. With a quick trip to the business license office and a variety of lunch options, she was in business, placing orders left and right so that she knew everyone around her would stay healthy with her cooking. No more Cup-O-Noodles.

But that’s not all. After work each Friday, Angela began hosting and teaching cooking classes as well. She wanted to spread her mom’s motto and recipes as far as she could. The classes taught step by step instructions of the menu of the week, involving her students in every aspect. The classes lead to catering birthdays, bridal showers, even weddings for her students.

Angela has branded herself as a chef that combines the top notch gourmet panache, with a touch of class and style. She chose the name Meals on Heels to instill the attention to detail in the fashion world with her passion for food.

Today Angela is providing healthy, homemade catered lunches all around the Tampa Bay area. She will make house calls at the drop of a hat to cook a delicious meal, and teach you exactly how to do it.
